The Civil War Confederate N.C.O.'s Sword was made by several sword making companies in the South during the course of the war. The Army adopted a sword for the Non Commissioned Officers in 1840 and it was carried for over 70 years through many conflicts such as the Mexican War, the Civil War, and the Spanish-American war. This exceptional Non Commissioned Officers sword, features a 34 inch steel blade. The sword is complete with a brass hand guard and pommel and includes a steel scabbard with brass fittings.
