Description

He began his criminal activities under the command of Benjamin Hornigold after the Spanish Civil War (1700-1713). On board of the "Queen Anne's Revenge" he plundered the Caribbean and the Atlantic coast of North America. Teach impressed by his height, he used to go armed with several swords, knives and three pair of guns; he groomed his beard with streaked igniting gun and when he went into battle: those who saw him fighting with a cloud of smoke around his head, said he looked like the devil. In May 1718 he blockaded the port of Charleston, surrounded the city and kidnapped several citizens, for whose freedom called for an unusual rescue: a box of medicines; his fleet was hit and beaten; Teach was shot five times and received several saber wounds, he was beheaded and his head hung in the courtyard at the Hampton's garrison. This Pirate sabre has the typical D-guard and is similar to the one used by Blackbeard. It features an embossed blade and cast metal skull fob.
